4 Mothers – A unique experience for both mothers and daughters prior to their Bat Mitzvah age. Designed especially for 11 year old girls.
In this journey, mothers and daughters experience many different levels of the Bat Mitzvah responsibilities and enhance their self-empowerment.
We will read and discuss the different types of Bat Mitzvah celebrations, watch different cultures' teenage acceptance, learn about the 4 Mothers from the Torah, experience Shabbat preparations (making challah and lighting Shabbat candles), learn about different women from our history and their contribution to the world, taste the volunteering experience and share it with the group, play games and start the process of writing a Bat Mitzvah’s Drasha. All is done with creative and fun methods.
4 Mothers is a 6 session course, where mothers join us on the first and last sessions only. Each session is one hour long.
At the end of the 6 sessions, the girls will have a better understanding of the Bat Mitzvah process and will be ready to start their life journey as well as their Bat Mitzvah portfolio.
Registration is required prior to the first meeting.
